Contribute to The Outer Margins

Bring an overlooked sound, film, artist, place or idea to our attention. Contributions from anywhere in the world are welcome.

What we welcome

Recommendations, tips, links to publicly available work, independent music and radio, films and filmmakers, comics and animation, gaming, art, archives, and original nonfiction or fiction that suits the magazine’s curious, evidence-conscious approach. A recommendation about Fijian independent music is just as welcome as one about a local film collective in Berlin or an artist in Nairobi.

What to send

A short introduction to the subject, its location or context where relevant, links to primary sources or recordings, why it merits attention, and your connection to it. For original writing, include a synopsis, approximate length and publication history. Please disclose promotional or financial connections.
